SOMALIA'S Second Voluntary National Review 2026
The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) is honored to present its Second Voluntary National Review (VNR) Report 2026. Led and coordinated by the Somalia National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS), the preparation of this report was guided by an inclusive and participatory consultation process. The process brought together representatives from the Federal Government and the Federal Member States (FMS), as well as civil society organizations, women's and youth groups, the private sector, and other key stakeholders, ensuring that diverse perspectives and experiences informed the assessment of Somalia's progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SOMALIA'S First Voluntary National Review 2022
The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) is privileged to present its first submission of the Voluntary National Review (VNR) report. Under the leadership and coordination of the Somalia National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS), the compilation of the VNR report followed an inclusive and participatory consultative process involving active contributions from civil society, women and youth groups, the private sector and the Federal level and Federal Member States (FMS) representatives.
SOMALIA HOUSEHOLD SHOCKS AND RESPONSES REPORT, 2024
The Somalia Household Shocks and Responses Report utilizes data from the Somalia Integrated Household Budget Survey launched in 2023, providing a strong examination of the impacts of shocks and the coping mechanisms employed by households across the nation.
Somalia Integrated Business Establishment Census, 2024
The Somalia National Bureau of Statistics is pleased to present the Somalia Integrated Business Establishment Census Report (SIBEC-2024), our nation’s first comprehensive census of all enterprises and establishments. This report marks a major milestone in Somalia’s journey towards sustainable economic growth, providing essential data that will support evidence-based policy-making, economic planning and development programming across the country.
Somalia Integrated Household Budget Survey (SIHBS) Report
The Somalia National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS) conducted the first Somalia Integrated Household Budget Survey (SIHBS—2022) since 1985. Data collected through the SIHBS will be used to improve the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) estimates and for the compilation of the commodity basket and commodity weightings used in the construction of a new Consumer Price Index (CPI). Collection of consumer price data is critical for inflation measurement. Furthermore, the survey will serve as a baseline for a rapid monitoring system.
SOMALIA POVERTY REPORT 2023
Somalia has in place the Ninth National Development Plan (NDP-9), which envisages a five year (2020-2024) pathway towards economic emancipation and reduction of poverty in the country, hence serves as an Interim Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (IPRSP) within the framework of the Highly Indebted Poor Country (HIPC) initiative. Satisfactory implementation of the poverty reduction strategy will trigger the completion point of debt relief for Somalia.

The output presented here is the result of a collaborative project between COMESA, Statistics Norway, and FAO to build capacity in National Statistical Offices for producing food security statistics based on Household Consumption and Expenditure Surveys
